East Bayfield Recreation Centre

This facility includes twin pad arenas, a double gymnasium, fitness centre, 25 metre swimming pool complete with a separate teaching pool and family change area, food concession, a babysitting/preschool area, a hospitality/multi-purpose room, etc.

Using new technology for refrigeration known as the Ice-Kube system, This uses the ground as a heat sink to store excess energy in the wintertime which can then be used to provide heating in the wintertime. Fresh air to heat pumps is provided by an HRU which also exhausts the air from the building.
