Integrated Health Centre & Worker’s Hospital - Doha, Qatar

JAIN is the MEP Consultant for this new 220-bed, 60,000 m hospital and ambulatory care facility in Qatar that embodies the country’s progressive health system expansion initiative. The design will meet or exceed Canadian Codes and Standards for design including compliance with CSA, NFPA and also relevant British Standards. JAIN have been involved since the initial stages of the project including planning of mechanical & electrical infrastructure for the development which consists of a central utility plant to supply the entire site with services. Our scope includes schematic design, design development, working drawings and assistance during construction. Services include HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Medical Gases, Firefighting, Power, Lighting and all Low Voltage Systems.

National Oncology Centre - Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago

Infrastructure services for this complex facility which includes, radiation treatment bunkers, MRI, PET/CT, CT simulator suites and a cyber-knife. The building is connected to the other buildings on the hospital campus via a walkway underneath, which infrastructure for the new facility is tied to existing services. MEP services were closely coordinated with the requirements of the sophisticated equipment in this facility. A complex backup power and load shedding strategy was developed to address power reliability issues on the campus.

Al Zahra Hospital - Dubai, UAE

JAIN completed Design Development of MEP services for this new multi-specialty hospital. Building upon an established reputation in Dubai, the Al Zahra Group planned and executed a new hospital that covered many faces of healthcare including Ambulatory Care, Surgery, Nuclear Medicine, Radiology, Pediatrics, Neurology, Cardiology, Orthotics, Dentistry and other specialty care facilities. The Design of specialized systems within the building such as medical gases, nurse call and communications were done to be full flexible to suit the needs of the various units within the facility. Pressurization of adjacent spaces was done carefully to address infection control requirements.

Sheikh Rashid Hospital - Dubai, UAE

JAIN completed the Design & Supervision of MEP services for this new Emergency Centre in Dubai. The main challenge on this project was its execution while the existing hospital remained operational. The design paid special attention to tie in of existing services such that disruption to operations was minimized.

Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences – Jalandhar, India

JAIN completed the Design & Supervision of MEP services for this 700 bed Medical Institute, General Hospital and 2 Research Centre. With a total area of over 100,000 m , this project took several years to complete and involved careful planning to allow for the phased construction. Electrical and air-conditioning services for the complex were sized to take into account the diversity in usage between the hospital and institute.

Saudi Hospitals Rehabilitation & Renovation Ministry of Health - Saudi Arabia

JAIN was engaged to be part of the Saudi Ministry of Health program to assess the conditions of several hospitals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. JAIN’s scope of work includes the following:
